Process, Industrial & Software Engineers

TruPorch runs housing the way a manufacturer runs a plant: every recurring task has a written standard, every standard is measured, and every measurement is an invitation to improve it. The Operations Improvement & Innovation team owns that loop. We hire process engineers, industrial engineers, and software engineers into it as one team, because the work is the same job seen through three lenses.

A process engineer maps how a unit turn actually runs and rewrites it so the second truck roll cannot happen. An industrial engineer measures cost to serve by home, finds the ten percent of tickets that create half the cost, and levels the maintenance calendar. A software engineer builds the tool that makes the new standard the easy path: the dispatch rule, the inspection app, the report that shows the number without anyone asking. Most weeks you will do some of all three.

You will work inside a real operation with real residents, not on a roadmap. The best ideas here come from standing in the home, reading the ticket history, and asking why. Toyota called it going to see. We call it the job.

What you'll do

• Map a process as it actually runs (turns, leasing, maintenance dispatch, guest turnover), measure it, and redesign it to a written standard the team can hold
• Own cost to serve as a number: instrument it, report it by home and by task, and drive it down without lowering the standard
• Build and ship the tools that carry the routine so people are reserved for judgment: automations, integrations with our resident portal and hospitality systems, dashboards, AI-assisted workflows
• Run improvement cycles with the operators who do the work: the Academy, the technicians, the hospitality team, the leasing leads
• Write it down: every improvement becomes the new standard in our LMS and process library, so the next home is cheaper to run than the last
